Title

A mala is a set of beads commonly used by Hindus and Buddhists for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. They are sacred and beautiful and can be worn as a necklace or wrapped around your wrist multiple times. Malas are made with 108 beads and a  guru bead. They can be made with fewer beads, such as 18, 27, or 54, which would require the user to make several rotations to complete their full meditation. The number 108 has spiritual significance as it is believed that we have 108 lines of energy in our bodies which converge to form the anahata , or the heart chakra.

Mala #1 - Made with 8mm gray and navy blue dyed wood and Polychrome Jasper beads, a 10mm, square Amazonite guru stone, and a 2", sage gray/green, cotton tassel with silver accent.
